Date Night works because the apple, lavender, and citrus opening is instantly easy to like. The mid-wear smooths out with violet and jasmine instead of becoming harsh. The drydown is the strength because vanilla, cardamom, sandalwood, pepper, and patchouli give it warmth and confidence. Performance feels strong for the kind of night-out use case this fragrance is built for, and this wear made it feel more durable and easier than I expected. For me, this is a strong budget Layton-style scent, and I already ordered my second bottle because it is easy to wear, easy to understand, and still gives me the inspiration I wanted.

I would call performance about 7 to 9 hours of total scent longevity, around 2 to 3 hours of projection longevity, and roughly 3 to 5 hours of sillage. I would wear it in fall, winter, spring nights, dinner, date settings, cool office days, and dressed-up casual outfits. Gym safe? Not really, unless it is one very light spray after the gym, because the vanilla, cardamom, and pepper can get too warm in workout heat. In the collection, this overlaps with other Layton-style scents, but it earns its place because it feels like a lighter, more aromatic version of that Layton DNA. The wearability skyrockets for me because I still get the apple, lavender, sweet spice, and vanilla idea, but it feels easier to wear and, on this wear, more durable on skin than I expected. The value is strong because this DNA is useful. Date Night smells familiar, but familiar is not automatically bad when the scent is this wearable. If someone wants sweet aromatic confidence for less, I understand the appeal, especially because this feels like one of those best-of-both-worlds budget options: Layton-style DNA, lighter aromatic wear, and a profile I would actually reach for. That is why I already ordered my second bottle; it is not just a bottle I respect for the price, it is a bottle I know I am going to use.
