Rayhaan Nocturno Elixir is a Bleu de Chanel Parfum-style budget inspiration with a promising dark blue woody idea, but on my skin it turns old-woody, nutty, and slightly sour enough to land at 6.3.

Nocturno Elixir has the outline of a Bleu de Chanel Parfum-style budget scent. The problem is the texture. On me, it turns old-woody, nutty, and slightly sour in a way that feels off. I understand the inspiration, but I do not love the execution. For my skin, this is a try-before-you-buy fragrance.

Scent journey

Performance is not really the issue. I would still expect around 6 to 8 hours of total scent life, with the strongest projection in the first couple hours and a moderate trail after that. The problem is wearability. If the drydown worked better on my skin, the performance would be a positive. But when the old woody, nutty, slightly vinegar-like part sticks around, lasting longer is not automatically a good thing. For the price, I understand why someone might try it, but value only matters if you actually enjoy the scent.
Close to the skin, Nocturno Elixir turns into a dry woody amber scent with that same nutty, old-wood feel. The sharpness calms down, but the sour impression still lingers enough that I keep noticing it. If your skin pulls more creaminess from sandalwood and amber, you may have a better experience than I did. On me, the skin scent is the part that confirms the problem. It does not smell dirty exactly, but it smells aged, dry, and slightly off in a way that makes me not want to keep reaching for it.
My final verdict is that Nocturno Elixir has a good concept but a flawed execution on my skin.
