House of Sillage The Batman Vengeance is a warm spicy amber fragrance built around tonka bean, cardamom, bergamot, Haitian vetiver, cashmeran, Egyptian jasmine, amber, patchouli, and oakmoss. The performance feels strong enough for a night out, with the best projection early and a smoother closer trail as it dries down. I would wear this for dinner, drinks, lounges, dressed-up casual date nights, fall evenings, winter nights, and any setting where close-range attraction matters more than beast-mode volume. It is best for someone who wants a sweet, smooth, darker date-night scent that still feels polished and collectible. The price means I would sample first, but the scent itself is good enough that this is not just a Batman bottle on a shelf.

Scent journey
House of Sillage The Batman Vengeance is a warm spicy amber date-night scent that smells smooth, seductive, and much more wearable than a collector gimmick.
Total scent longevity: I would frame The Batman Vengeance around 7 to 9 hours of total scent presence on skin, with the amber, patchouli, and oakmoss carrying the drydown. Projection longevity: the strongest push is likely around the first 2 to 3 hours, especially from the tonka bean, cardamom, and cashmeran. Sillage longevity: I would expect a noticeable trail for about 3 to 4 hours before it settles closer. That is actually the sweet spot for date night. I do not need this to fill a building. I need it to be noticeable early and then sit closer when the night gets more personal. This is strong enough to feel worth wearing, but controlled enough that I would not be scared to wear it around someone sitting next to me. This is date night first for me. Dinner, drinks, lounges, colder movie nights, rooftop evenings, dressed casual nights out, black shirt situations, fall and winter dates, and any moment where I want something warm but still clean enough to be close-contact friendly. Gym safe? No, this is not the one I would take to the gym; the tonka bean, amber, and patchouli would feel too warm once body heat gets high. In the collection, this does not replace Layton, Side Effect, or a blue compliment scent. It sits in its own lane because it gives me sweet warmth, spice, and dark smooth woods without feeling like the same date-night fragrance everyone else is wearing. If anything, this is the fragrance I would reach for when I want date-night appeal but I still want the scent to feel a little more collectible and personal. Value is complicated because House of Sillage is never just about the juice. You are paying for the bottle, the collector presentation, the luxury feel, and the fragrance itself. But with The Batman Vengeance, the scent is strong enough that I do not feel like I am only defending the presentation. The fragrance actually works. If somebody loves warm spicy, sweet woody amber fragrances and can find this at a good price, I understand the buy. At full retail, I would still say sample first. But as a date-night scent in the collection, this is one of the House of Sillage bottles that makes the most sense to actually wear.
House of Sillage The Batman Vengeance surprised me because it does not feel like a gimmick.

If you are new to fragrances, this is how I would build the collection. Do not start with hype. Start with purpose.
OnlyFumes review
If I had to sum up the market right now, I would say the hottest fragrances are not all trying to do the same thing anymore. The old blue-fragrance lane is still alive, but it is no longer the whole conversation. Sweet masculine gourmands, modern oud, skin scents, extrait versions, and value fragrances with real projection are all fighting for attention.
